26 Jan 2010 Canon 7D
 |  Category: Articles & Reviews

After reading a lot of reviews about the Canon 7D, I went ahead and got myself one. I got a Nikon D300s for my father a few months back so I did not want to get the same camera from me. Have been using the camera from almost a month now and boy I’m really happy with the product. The Camera is fast and accurate. Though the D300s has more focus points than the 7D, I have had no complaints about 7D’s ability to focus. Recently, I have read in a number of reviews that the 7D is slow in focusing on moving subjects but I have had no issues so far with this. Click here for examples.

I have been experimenting a lot with still objects, moving objects and flying birds. Almost all of the pictures that I clicked are keepers. I’m also very impressed with the quality of shots in high ISO settings. An example of this is posted here (http://manvirrandhawa.com/2010/01/25/owl-dark/). This picture was taken handheld at ISO 3200 and a shutter speed of 1/13 of a second. Contrast has been touched in Photoshop.

I’ll be taking a lot more shots and will keep updating this post with the results. So Far, I am really happy shooting with this camera.
